Moccasin Class being held Saturday, Nov. 16

Moccasin Class – Saturday, Nov. 16, 2019

9am – Noon or 1:30pm – 4:30pm

The Wyandotte Nation Cultural Center will be offering a “How to make moccasins” class on Saturday, Nov. 16, 2019.  This free class is open to all Wyandotte Nation Citizens, spouses and teens ages 15 and up.  In the class, participants will be taught how to make their own personal custom pucker toe moccasin pattern. Using felt, participants will learn how to stitch and create a sample moccasin. You will take home your personal pattern, sample, instructions and list of needed supplies so you can continue to practice in your own time to make your own moccasins.

This three-hour class will be offered twice Saturday, 9am to noon or 1:30 to 4:30pm.

SPECIAL NOTE:  A “Share the cost moccasin class”, will be offered in 2020.  In the share the cost class you will make a pair of actual moccasins.  Taking this “How to” class will be a requirement to register for the share the cost 2020 class.

To register for the one of the Nov. 16 classes contact Courtney Cummings by phone at 918-678-6318 or email or Teresa Wilson at 918-678-6385 or email  no later than noon, Thursday, Nov. 14. Indicate which class you want to attend, morning or afternoon and include a phone number.

Seats are limited so don’t wait to register.  If the class becomes full another class will be offered after the holidays.
