In 2013, with the hope of reaching more tribal citizens outside the tribal reservation, Wyandotte Nation Chief Billy Friend established the first Town Hall Meetings.
The idea of the Town Hall Meetings was to bring the Annual Meeting to those who couldn’t always make it back to Oklahoma in September and help keep tribal citizens informed of the everyday happenings of the Tribe, as well as provide tribal citizens with better connections – a better connection to the Tribe and a better connection to other tribal citizens living in their area of the country.
