The Wyandotte Nation is seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Human Resources Specialist to provide high-level administrative, customer service, and personnel support under the direction of the Human Resources Director. This position serves as a key resource for employees by responding to requests for information, maintaining confidential personnel records, assisting with recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, payroll support, training coordination, workers’ compensation processing, background and adjudications, FMLA and various human resources programs. The HR Specialist must exercise the highest level of discretion, professionalism, and confidentiality while supporting the daily operations of the Human Resources Department.
Qualified applicants must possess a high school diploma or GED; an Associate’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field is preferred. A minimum of three years of human resources experience is desired, and THRP certification is a plus. Candidates must demonstrate strong organizational, communication, customer service, and computer skills, including advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. The Wyandotte Nation is seeking a motivated and culturally knowledgeable individual to serve as a Cultural Educator. This position is responsible for developing, facilitating, and promoting programs that preserve, celebrate, and share Wyandotte culture through educational workshops, community outreach, cultural exhibits, artistic demonstrations, and youth programming. The successful candidate will collaborate with tribal staff, educators, elders, and cultural experts to integrate traditional language, history, and cultural resources into community initiatives, including preschool education, while fostering engagement among Wyandotte citizens and representing the Tribe with professionalism and respect.

This position plays an important role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across campus. We are looking for a self-motivated individual who is capable of working independently and takes pride in their work. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining assigned buildings and ensuring all areas are well-kept and presentable.
This role involves a variety of physical tasks, including standing, walking, bending, climbing, kneeling, twisting, reaching overhead, and working in confined or crowded spaces. Candidates must be able to lift up to 50 pounds independently and perform team lifts of over 100 pounds, as well as push and pull loads between 50 to 100 pounds. The position also requires the use of cleaning agents and chemicals and the ability to work in environments with dust, fumes, extreme temperatures, humidity, and noise exposure.

Wyandotte Nation Government is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Infant Caregiver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a nurturing, clean, and safe environment to help infants develop and reach age-appropriate milestones. The Infant Caregiver will demonstrate good judgment in caring for and engaging with each infant, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met. Primary duties include preparing the building for opening, maintaining a safe and hygienic environment, and attending to the infants’ physical needs, including feeding on a regular schedule and diaper changing. Additionally, the Infant Caregiver will maintain accurate records of the infants’ daily activities for communication with parents, supervise sleep times, and engage infants in appropriate indoor and outdoor play. Applicants must possess an AA degree in early childhood education (preferred) or a minimum of a high school diploma or GED, with at least two years of experience working with young children. Knowledge of developmental stages and a nurturing approach to supporting infants is essential. A willingness to attend training and meet licensing regulations is required, as well as the ability to work closely with parents in partnership. The Wyandotte Nation Government is seeking applications for an Environmental Recycling Technician to join our Planning and Natural Resources Department. The primary responsibility of this position is to assist with the day-to-day tasks required to achieve the environmental objectives outlined in various grant work plans. Applicants must be at least 18 years old, possess a high school diploma or equivalent, and have reliable transportation along with a valid driver’s license. This is a grant-funded position scheduled to run through May 31, 2027. An associate degree and one year of experience in a related field, or two years of post-secondary training in a related field, are preferred. Must be able to drive a truck while towing a trailer and have the ability to back up. Prior experience with operating a forklift is required, and candidates must either hold a current Forklift Certification or be willing to obtain one. Physical demands lift up to 25 pounds, buddy lift up to 50 pounds, push and/or pull up to 25 pounds, be exposed to infectious agents, dust, fumes, gases, heights, noise exposure and power equipment. The Wyandotte Nation is currently seeking applications for a Clinical Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) (Independent Practice). This position provides independent, comprehensive outpatient behavioral health services within a tribally operated healthcare setting in alignment with Indian Health Service standards. This position is responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders across the lifespan using evidence-based therapeutic interventions. The clinician delivers individual, family, and group psychotherapy; conducts comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments; develops and implements treatment plans; provides crisis intervention and safety planning; and ensures appropriate discharge planning and continuity of care. The role includes close collaboration with medical providers and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support integrated, patient-centered care, as well as coordination with community partners and referral sources, including psychiatric services. The clinician maintains accurate and timely documentation in the Electronic Health Record, ensures compliance with federal, state, tribal, Indian Health Service, and confidentiality regulations, and performs case management functions as needed to support positive patient outcomes. Additional responsibilities include community outreach, presentations, and ongoing professional development to maintain licensure and clinical competencies.
Qualified candidates must possess a master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related behavioral health field from an accredited institution and hold a current, unrestricted Licensed Professional Counselor or Licensed Clinical Social Worker license in the State of Oklahoma authorized for independent practice. A minimum of two years of post-licensure clinical experience is preferred, with strong preference given to candidates with experience in integrated healthcare, tribal health, or Indian Health Service settings. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational, communication, and crisis-management skills; knowledge of healthcare data systems; the ability to work effectively under stress; and a commitment to culturally responsive care. CPR/AED/First Aid certification, the ability to travel as needed, and successful completion of required physical, drug screening, background checks, and possession of a valid driver’s license are required.

The Wyandotte Nation Police Department is seeking a dedicated and experienced law enforcement professional to serve as Police Lieutenant, providing supervisory and professional leadership during assigned shifts. This position is responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing patrol operations; ensuring the protection of life and property; maintaining peace and public safety; and delivering high-quality law enforcement services to the Wyandotte Nation and the Town of Wyandotte. The Lieutenant exercises command authority over assigned personnel, oversees major incident responses, ensures compliance with departmental policies, supports accurate crime reporting, and provides mentorship, training, and performance oversight for officers. Strong judgment, professionalism, and the ability to communicate effectively with the public, staff, and partner agencies are essential.
Candidates should demonstrate advanced knowledge of tribal, federal, state, and municipal law; modern policing techniques; and the use of technical and safety equipment. A Bachelor’s degree in police science, law enforcement, criminal justice, public administration, or a closely related field is preferred, along with a minimum of five years of police experience, supervisory background, and current CLEET certification or eligibility for reciprocity. Applicants must also be able to obtain a BIA Special Law Enforcement Commission and meet all certification, training, fitness, and background standards—including successful background investigation/adjudication and drug screening—and must reside within 25 miles of Wyandotte, Oklahoma.
