Wyandotte Nation Government is currently seeking a caring, patient, creative, and dependable Early Childhood Toddler Program Assistant to support the Lead Teacher in providing a nurturing, safe, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for toddlers. The Wyandotte Nation is seeking a qualified and dependable individual for the position of Housing Specialist. The Housing Specialist is responsible for the distribution and processing of housing applications, reviewing applicant eligibility for participation in housing programs, maintaining program and tenant files, and receiving, recording, and depositing housing payments. This position assists the Housing Director with correspondence, prepares reports regarding tenant activity and housing payment collections, attends housing-related meetings, and assists with various phases of Housing Department programs and projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a nurturing, clean, and safe environment to help infants develop and reach age-appropriate milestones. The Infant Caregiver will demonstrate good judgment in caring for and engaging with each infant, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met. Primary duties include preparing the building for opening, maintaining a safe and hygienic environment, and attending to the infants’ physical needs, including feeding on a regular schedule and diaper changing. Additionally, the Infant Caregiver will maintain accurate records of the infants’ daily activities for communication with parents, supervise sleep times, and engage infants in appropriate indoor and outdoor play. The successful candidate will be responsible for treating patients across the lifespan—from pediatrics to geriatrics—as directed by the clinic physician and/or nurse practitioner. Duties include assisting with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, administering medications and injections, performing laboratory tests, collecting and transporting lab specimens, and operating a variety of specialized clinical equipment. The Wyandotte Nation is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Crime Victim Advocate to provide advocacy, crisis intervention, and support services to adult and youth victims of domestic violence, dating violence and their dependents. Working under the supervision of the Lead Advocate/Caseworker, the successful candidate will assist victims and their families by providing safety planning, court accompaniment, resource referrals, crisis response, and guidance through the criminal justice system while collaborating with law enforcement, courts, and community partners. This position also participates in outreach and awareness activities, maintains required documentation, and serves in an on-call rotation for emergencies.

Wyandotte Nation Government is seeking a qualified and motivated individual to serve as a Court Safety & Security Officer / SORNA Officer. This dual-role position is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment within the courthouse and surrounding facilities while also administering and enforcing the Nation’s Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act (SORNA) Program. Duties include monitoring security screening equipment, controlling courthouse access, conducting patrols, responding to emergencies, enforcing court security policies, and coordinating with law enforcement agencies as needed.
As the SORNA Officer, the selected candidate will maintain the Nation’s sex offender registry, investigate registration violations, monitor offender compliance, prepare reports and court documentation, provide professional testimony, coordinate with partner agencies, and ensure adherence to federal and tribal SORNA requirements. The position also requires conducting community outreach, delivering training to law enforcement personnel and tribal departments, monitoring offender notifications, and promoting public awareness regarding sex offender registration requirements.

The Wyandotte Nation Police Department is seeking a dedicated and experienced law enforcement professional to serve as Police Lieutenant, providing supervisory and professional leadership during assigned shifts. This position is responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing patrol operations; ensuring the protection of life and property; maintaining peace and public safety; and delivering high-quality law enforcement services to the Wyandotte Nation and the Town of Wyandotte. The Lieutenant exercises command authority over assigned personnel, oversees major incident responses, ensures compliance with departmental policies, supports accurate crime reporting, and provides mentorship, training, and performance oversight for officers. Strong judgment, professionalism, and the ability to communicate effectively with the public, staff, and partner agencies are essential.
Candidates should demonstrate advanced knowledge of tribal, federal, state, and municipal law; modern policing techniques; and the use of technical and safety equipment. A Bachelor’s degree in police science, law enforcement, criminal justice, public administration, or a closely related field is preferred, along with a minimum of five years of police experience, supervisory background, and current CLEET certification or eligibility for reciprocity. Applicants must also be able to obtain a BIA Special Law Enforcement Commission and meet all certification, training, fitness, and background standards—including successful background investigation/adjudication and drug screening—and must reside within 25 miles of Wyandotte, Oklahoma.
