Description:
Wyandotte Nation Government is currently accepting applications for a full-time Childcare Assistant for the Wyandotte Nation Education Department. This floating position will support the classroom and provide assistance where needed, ensuring a developmentally appropriate environment for children in alignment with our policies and philosophies. The role involves actively engaging children in both indoor and outdoor play, assisting with meal times to ensure a positive experience, and contributing to the daily classroom cleanup. To qualify for this position, candidates must be at least 18 years of age with a verifiable high school diploma or GED. A willingness to attend training and meet licensing regulations is required. Individuals must be CPR/AED/First Aid certified or willing to get certified within 60 days of employment. The employee may frequently be required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, twist and balance, cope with high level of stress, perform simple grasping, lift up to 75 pounds, be exposed to extreme temperature and/or humidity. Description:
Wyandotte Nation Government is seeking a qualified and experienced Accounting Director to provide leadership and oversight of the Nation’s financial planning, accounting, payroll, financial reporting, and fiscal management functions. The Accounting Director will be accountable for the daily operations of the Accounting Department, including bi-weekly payroll review and import, monthly financial close processes, general ledger and account reconciliations, financial statement preparation, accounts receivable and payable, and the maintenance of accurate and adequate accounting records. The position will monitor government grants and contracts to ensure compliance with applicable financial reporting requirements; prepare quarterly financial reports and annual audit schedules; oversee the custody and appropriate disbursement or transfer of funds, securities, and organizational assets; reconcile Economic Development distributions; maintain accounting documentation; and establish and maintain effective internal controls and procedures. The Accounting Director will assist with budget management and indirect cost proposal, manage and develop Accounting Department staff, organize work assignments, assist HR with payroll matters, and establish professional relationships with financial institutions and the investment community.
Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field is required. Candidates must have three to five years of accounting or finance experience, with two to three years of governmental accounting and/or federal program administration preferred, as well as supervisory experience and strong written and verbal communication skills. The successful candidate must demonstrate strong computer, analytical, mathematical, reasoning, organizational, and leadership skills; the ability to communicate effectively at all levels, motivate and develop staff, promote teamwork, evaluate employee performance, and implement Nation policies consistently and effectively. The position requires the ability to work independently while keeping leadership informed of significant issues and progress, manage multiple priorities in stressful situations, and exercise sound judgment under pressure. The Accounting Director must be willing to travel for meetings, seminars, training, and various tribal job sites as needed; possess a current, valid driver’s license; and successfully complete required physical, drug screening, and background checks. Candidates must be able to read, write, and speak English and perform the physical and mental demands necessary to successfully carry out the essential functions of the position.

The Wyandotte Nation Police Department is seeking a dedicated and experienced law enforcement professional to serve as Police Lieutenant, providing supervisory and professional leadership during assigned shifts. This position is responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing patrol operations; ensuring the protection of life and property; maintaining peace and public safety; and delivering high-quality law enforcement services to the Wyandotte Nation and the Town of Wyandotte. The Lieutenant exercises command authority over assigned personnel, oversees major incident responses, ensures compliance with departmental policies, supports accurate crime reporting, and provides mentorship, training, and performance oversight for officers. Strong judgment, professionalism, and the ability to communicate effectively with the public, staff, and partner agencies are essential.
Candidates should demonstrate advanced knowledge of tribal, federal, state, and municipal law; modern policing techniques; and the use of technical and safety equipment. A Bachelor’s degree in police science, law enforcement, criminal justice, public administration, or a closely related field is preferred, along with a minimum of five years of police experience, supervisory background, and current CLEET certification or eligibility for reciprocity. Applicants must also be able to obtain a BIA Special Law Enforcement Commission and meet all certification, training, fitness, and background standards—including successful background investigation/adjudication and drug screening—and must reside within 25 miles of Wyandotte, Oklahoma. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining assigned buildings and ensuring all areas are well-kept and presentable.
This role involves a variety of physical tasks, including standing, walking, bending, climbing, kneeling, twisting, reaching overhead, and working in confined or crowded spaces. Candidates must be able to lift up to 50 pounds independently and perform team lifts of over 100 pounds, as well as push and pull loads between 50 to 100 pounds. The position also requires the use of cleaning agents and chemicals and the ability to work in environments with dust, fumes, extreme temperatures, humidity, and noise exposure.
Must be able to pass a physical examination, background checks, and drug testing. A valid driver’s license must be maintained throughout employment.

Primary responsibilities include providing courtroom security, screening individuals and inspecting bags entering the courtroom, enforcing courtroom rules and decorum, escorting defendants and jurors, safeguarding juries from outside contact, opening court sessions, preparing the courtroom before and after proceedings, relaying messages and documents to the judge, coordinating emergency assistance when needed, and performing other duties as assigned. Description:
Wyandotte Nation Government is seeking a qualified and motivated individual to serve as a Court Safety & Security Officer / SORNA Officer. This dual-role position is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment within the courthouse and surrounding facilities while also administering and enforcing the Nation’s Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act (SORNA) Program. Duties include monitoring security screening equipment, controlling courthouse access, conducting patrols, responding to emergencies, enforcing court security policies, and coordinating with law enforcement agencies as needed.
As the SORNA Officer, the selected candidate will maintain the Nation’s sex offender registry, investigate registration violations, monitor offender compliance, prepare reports and court documentation, provide professional testimony, coordinate with partner agencies, and ensure adherence to federal and tribal SORNA requirements. The position also requires conducting community outreach, delivering training to law enforcement personnel and tribal departments, monitoring offender notifications, and promoting public awareness regarding sex offender registration requirements.
Applicants must possess a high school diploma or GED and hold current BIA or CLEET law enforcement certification. Candidates must demonstrate knowledge of applicable laws, court procedures, and law enforcement practices; possess proficiency in firearms, defensive tactics, and evidence collection; maintain CPR/AED/First Aid certification; and be able to carry and qualify with a department-issued firearm in accordance with agency standards. Strong communication skills, sound judgment, professionalism, and the ability to work effectively with the public are essential.
