Wyandotte, OK – The Wyandotte Nation Board of Directors has voted to make a generous donation to Wyandotte Public Schools, ensuring that admission costs for all Middle School and High School athletic events during the 2025–2026 school year will be fully covered for students, families, and community members.
This initiative is designed to alleviate financial pressures on families while fostering broad support for student-athletes and school spirit.
“We understand that the cost of living continually rises, and for some families, just paying admission to watch their children can become a hardship,” said Wyandotte Nation Chief Billy Friend. “By removing this barrier, we hope to create more opportunities for families and the community to come together in support of our students.”
The Wyandotte Nation has long been committed to strengthening community partnerships and supporting educational opportunities. Covering the cost of athletic event admissions aligns with the Nation’s mission to invest in the well-being of families and future generations.
Wyandotte Public Schools Superintendent Brad Wade expressed appreciation for the support, stating, “We are deeply grateful to the Wyandotte Nation for this incredible gift. By removing the financial barrier of admission, our students, families, and community can come together to support Wyandotte Athletics without worry or limitation. This generosity strengthens school spirit, unites our community, and ensures that every student athlete feels the full support of those who cheer them on.”
This donation underscores the strong relationship between the Wyandotte Nation and Wyandotte Public Schools and reflects a shared commitment to student success both on and off the field.
