The Wyandotte Nation’s Planning & Natural Resources Department hosted its 16th Annual Environmental Festival on Thursday, May 7, at Twin Bridges State Park in Wyandotte.

This year’s event once again welcomed Wyandotte students and community partners for a day of hands-on learning and environmental education. In 2025, the festival hosted over 450 students, along with multiple booths and volunteers who helped make the event a success. The 2026 event had a total of 530 students and 31 teachers from Wyandotte Public Schools, 10 various tribal environmental booths with 21 booth workers, and 4 Community Booths with 10 booth workers, for a total of 613 participants.

This popular annual event relies on volunteers to make it successful. A big thanks to all the volunteers who stepped up to help make the event possible, and to the Wyandotte Nation Environmental staff who put the event on for a 16th year.
