Thanks to grant funds from the USDA, the Wyandotte Nation was able to distribute free, local food to the first 225 families in our community (Native and non-Native) on a first-come, first-serve basis at the new Artie Nesvold Elders Center (14430 Porcupine, Wyandotte, OK 74370).

Local families who took part in this opportunity received food that included beef, bison, bread, coffee, fruit, local honey, pecans, and vegetables.

The Tribe wishes to thank all the volunteers who helped and be sure to watch for announcements for the Tribe’s next event in December.

The event was set to start at 11:30 am but people started lining up as early as 8 am. Due to traffic concerns and issues, leadership decided to start the event early at 11 am.
