Housing

HOUSING

We are aware that tribal citizens have various housing needs, and we are constantly seeking new funding to help tribal citizens meet these needs. The Housing Department, which is funded through Housing and Urban Development, follows all Federal Rules and Regulations.

Home / Rentals

The Housing Department offers homeownership and rentals within our service area.

Family Housing & Duplexes

48 Homeowner Units and 63 Rental Units. A splashpad, community center and park are also featured at Heritage Acres.

Down Payment Assistance

Assistance is available for first time homebuyers. Homes must be within a 50-mile radius of Wyandotte Nation.

Down Payment Assistance

Funds are limited, and will be issued to the completed applications received first. This is a federal income guideline program.

IHS-121 Program

A program to help tribal citizens with water or sewage problems.

This program is for tribal citizens who live within the borders of the Claremore Indian Hospital service area.

Housing Department

The Wyandotte Nation Housing Department was created December of 1996. Since that date, the department has shown substantial growth, offering a variety of programs, assistance, housing and rental units.

The Housing Department offers homeownership and rentals within our service area. The IHS-121 Program is a program awarded by Indian Health Service allowing us to assist tribal citizens in hooking to rural water, install rural water meters, drill wells, hook to city sewer lines or install a complete septic and drain field.

Well Septic Application

We are currently out of funding for this program and already have several applications waiting. We would like to have interested applicants pick up an application from the Housing office so that we have a chance to give an accurate time frame of when they could be expecting to be serviced:
