Wyandotte Tribe of Oklahoma (WTOK) Economic Development CEO Kelly Carpino said the purchase of the Fairland location provides another boost to the retail division of the Tribe’s economic development. WTOK is the Wyandotte Nation’s corporation.

“With the addition of Mr. D’s, we can start seeing the opportunity to build regional scale for this sector of our enterprises,” Carpino said. “We are also thrilled that we can be a contributing partner to the Town of Fairland’s economy.”

The store officially reopened under the Turtle Stop brand on April 7. It is located on East Hwy 60 (625 W Conner Ave, Fairland, OK 74343) next to the Family Dollar.

Turtle Stop stores are well known for their hot grab-and-go options, fresh sandwiches, and pizza.

With the addition of the fifth Turtle Stop store in Fairland, the Tribe now has two locations in Grove, a store in Seneca, Mo., and the original store in Wyandotte, Okla.
