The Wyandotte Nation Preschool hosted its annual Leaford Bearskin Memorial Preschool Pow-Wow Thursday evening, April 13, at the Wyandotte Nation Pow-Wow Grounds.

Wyandotte Nation Princess Sara Wright performed the ‘Lord’s Prayer’ in sign language to kick off the event. Grand Entry and the introduction of the Tribes followed and led into the preschoolers participating in the Pow-Wow dances.

The preschoolers performed “Numbers” in the Wyandotte language and the ‘Tizameh Song.’ Following that, the Host Drum, Michael Killer & Medicine Eagle, led the preschoolers and their families in a Round Dance, Snake Dance, and Buffalo Dance.

The Pow-Wow closed with a series of Intertribal dances.

Joshua Garcia was the Head Man, Sara Wright was the Head Lady, John Webb was the Honor Guard Representative and presented the Colors, and the Emcee was Choogie Kingfisher.
